A few recent LG service calls — what the customer described, and exactly how we fixed it.
LG Fridge
LG French-door fridge stopped cooling in the main compartment. Freezer worked normally, but milk and produce reached room temperature by morning.
Diagnosed a failed defrost heater blocking airflow. Replaced the heater and temperature sensor, verified airflow and temps over 24 hours. Full cooling restored.
LG Washer
LG front-load washer kept stopping mid-cycle with an OE drain error. Customer found a small puddle behind the machine and couldn't open the door.
Pulled out the drain pump filter — found a coin and a hair tie blocking flow. Cleared the filter, checked the drain hose and ran a test cycle. No leak, no error.
LG Dryer
LG smart dryer ran full cycles without producing any heat. Clothes came out cold and damp. Customer reset the breaker — no change.
Tested continuity on the heating circuit — found a blown thermal fuse and a partially burnt heating element. Replaced both, cleared the vent and ran a hot cycle to confirm.
